| "I am interested in how quickly we read an image, so for this work I wanted a set of spontaneous responses that reflected the 'speed of sight'. I asked each writer to look at one take at a time and respond quickly with one or two sentences. The writers saw this 'Typicals' series in the opposite way to the gallery experience—they received first a detailed close-up image and progressively zoomed out until the last complete picture."
