"Nulnu is an exhibition which shows the work of Annesas Appel and Lu Xinjian together with the work of two Dutch Nul artists, Henk Peeters and herman de vries. Appel and Lu are relatively young artists, respectively from Haarlem and Shanghai, who embody the attitude of Nul/ZERO, studious, investigative, entrepreneurial and daring, aiming at a business-like registration of the world in which they live. In showing their work, ycca wants to recapitulate the continual value of the concrete image of Nul/ZERO, showing once more the timelessness of it representation of reality." Petri Leijdekkers (from the catalogue essay, Nulnu, the permanent significance of Nul and ZERO) The exhibition took place at Nieuw Dakota, Amsterdam, 11/10/2015 – 08/11/2015 |
